Our Learning Experience Framework

At the heart of the framework is our school vision, guiding all that we work towards in Xinmin – Leading Hearts, Leading Minds. The R3 represents our school values of Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience, which form the core of one’s character.

The second ring describes our approach in designing learning experiences for our students, considering:

Goals & Content, what students should understand and be able to do;

Pedagogy, how teachers bring about learning; and

Assessment, how students gather information about their progress and act on feedback to move learning forward.

The third ring describes the five components of our total curriculum, i.e. all the learning experiences Xinmin offers to provide a well-rounded and future-ready education for our students:

Level Themes & Cohort Curriculum, providing shared and progressive learning experiences for each cohort;

Academic Subjects, developing knowledge, skills, and dispositions across various disciplines;

Co-Curricular Activities, developing joy of learning, student agency, character, and emerging 21st Century Competencies in the CCA context;

Talent Development, pulling together all the learning experiences and opportunities through a coherent, school-wide approach; and

Signature Programmes, leveraging Xinmin’s resources as a forward-looking school with MOE autonomous status.

The fourth ring describes the Desired Xinmin Outcomes (DXOs), articulating the qualities developed in Xinmin graduates: curious learners, compassionate contributors, and confident leaders.
