Speech Day Awards

Every April, our school is proud to celebrate the achievements of our students at Speech Day. In addition to Academic Awards, Edusave Character Awards, and Holistic Achievement Awards, the following Special Awards are presented to outstanding students from the recently-graduated cohort (for example, an award recipient in the Class of 2025 would have received the pinnacle award at Speech Day 2026):

L.E.A.D. Award and Valedictorian

This award recognises the most outstanding student in the graduated cohort who exemplifies the qualities of:

• L: Leadership 

• E: Exemplary Behaviour 

• A: Ace in Learning 

• D: Dedication in Service

Chew Peng Leng Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded to students who have embodied Xinmin's can-do spirit, that is characteristic of the many leaders and movers of the school who have overcome difficulties and challenges and demonstrated resilience and fortitude to propel the school to a higher level.

This award recognises students who have demonstrated dedication and passion in service to the school and the community, and who have influenced and inspired others to do so.

This award recognises students who have displayed excellent artistic skill and dedication in the visual, creative, and performing arts.

Tung Sey Yew Award for Leadership in the Uniformed Groups

This award recognises students who hold top leadership positions in their Uniformed Group, demonstrated strong leadership skills and are seen as role models who communicate effectively and have good organisational and team management skills.
