Xinmin Scholarship

With Xinmin Secondary's 80th Anniversary in 2025, our School Advisory Committee (SAC) is introducing the Xinmin Scholarship as part of our school's talent development plan. This scholarship recognises incoming Secondary 1 students with outstanding academic profile, excellent leadership qualities and exemplary conduct, and who have demonstrated meaningful participation in their co-curricular activities.

Eligibility Criteria

• Incoming Secondary 1 student with PSLE score 8 or better who indicates Xinmin Secondary School as first choice

• Maintains an outstanding academic track record

• Possesses excellent leadership qualities and exemplary conduct

• A well-rounded student who is a role model for others

• Active participation in co-curricular activities

Award Details

• Each recipient will receive:

  • $500 per academic year, subject to renewal criteria of (1) conduct (Very Good) and (2) meeting the common academic requirement for progression to the next level

  • Dedicated mentoring, incorporating Xinmin’s Talent Development Approach

• Maximum of 5 recipients per cohort

  • Application Details

• Application deadline is 3pm the day after the release of PSLE results. Late applications will not be considered.

• Interested students are to complete the Xinmin Scholarship Application form and submit by the stipulated deadline.

• Please note that only shortlisted applicants will be notified.

• Shortlisted applicants will have to attend a face-to-face interview, which will take place within 5 working days after the release of PSLE results, before the deadline to submit school choices. Online interviews can be considered on a case-by-case basis.

• Successful applicants will receive a scholarship offer before the deadline to submit school choices, and receive the scholarship quantum upon enrollment in Xinmin as first choice (and meeting the renewal criteria for subsequent years)
